What is 310S stainless steel grade

310S stainless steel grade is a a low carbon version of 310 stainless steel grade. 310S Stainless steel grade contain 25% chromium and 20% nickel. For more severe carburising atmospheres other heat resisting alloys should be selected. 310S Stainless steel grade displays excellent resistance to oxidation under mildly cyclic conditions through to 2000°F characterises. And because of its high chromium and medium nickel contents, 310S has good resistance to sulfidation and other forms of hot corrosion.

Available in many product forms, the grain size and carbon content can meet both the 310S stainless steel requirements. 310S stainless steel is often used at cryogenic temperatures, with excellent toughness to -450°F, and low magnetic permeability. 310S has a machinability rating of 42% relative to AISI B1112 steel.

We are stockist & supplier of stainless steel 310S grade. We are dealing in 310S stainless steel seamless pipe & tube and 310S stainless steel welded pipe & tube

Uses of 310S stainless steel grade

310S stainless steel grade is widely used in moderately carburizing atmospheres such as those encountered in petrochemical environments. The more severely carburizing atmospheres of industrial heat treating furnaces

310S stainless steel grade is used in Flare tips, Fluidized bed coal combustors, Radiant tubes, Tube hangers for petroleum refining and steam boilers, Coal gasifier internal components, Thermowells, Refractory anchor bolts, Burners, combustion chambers, Retorts, muffles, annealing covers, Food processing equipment, Cryogenic structures.
